How do you know if your smartphone is really making contact with the world?
Frys Electronics, one of the nation’s largest electronics companies, announced last month that it had acquired an Israeli startup that had created an affinity chart that allows phones to track their surroundings with sensors attached to their bodies.
According to the Frys announcement, the affinity chart is based on an understanding of how we perceive the world around us, and it helps the company understand how to design its products in a way that maximizes their energy and power.
Frys’ CEO and founder, David M. Frys, is credited with inventing the affinity graph, which is now used by manufacturers around the world to better optimize the energy and battery life of mobile devices.
As of last month, the Friess company sold about 1.4 billion Frys smartphones, and Frys is also building a new line of wireless devices with a range of different capacities.
The company says that the affinity charts can be downloaded to Android phones and tablets and can be used for tracking data like battery usage, temperature, and other metrics.
We’ve been testing our affinity chart for the past few months and it has been an immediate hit.
It’s great to see it making it to other platforms.

A similar affinity chart was used to make the Frytech line of smartwatches, and the company is now working on a similar line of wearable computers.
At its launch in 2017, Frys’ devices, which are powered by an aluminum-clad body, were a bit more expensive than competitors.
But that changed last year, when the Fys made an acquisition.
With the acquisition, Fries announced a new partnership with Intel and a new focus on efficiency, which led to lower prices.
“We believe that our products are more energy efficient than our competitors and that we can deliver more energy savings,” Frys said in a statement.
“By using this affinity chart, we can make a more informed purchase decision and optimize our products in the long run.”
It is not clear when Frys will be releasing a second generation of its devices, but Frys says that it is working on two new designs with new battery capacities.
